Hi, I’m Ms. Chirwa
WHERE I COME FROM
I was born and grew up in Malawi - one of the poorest countries in the world. Malawi is situated in sub- Saharan Africa- nestled between Tanzania and Mozambique. Regardless of the economic difficulties that the average Malawian faces on a daily basis, it is home, a place that has helped shape the kind of teacher I am today.
A THRIVING CAREER
Teaching has a way of bringing out the best in you. After over a decade of teaching, I have found my most creative, passionate and purposeful self. The four walls of a classroom have a magical way of bringing to life not only the imagination of children- but mine too! There is a twinkle that can be seen in a child’s eyes when they feel confident and being part of that confidence-building is something I am truly passionate about. When I witness a eureka moment in learners regardless of their ages- that moment is simply unmatchable. Being part of igniting something in a whole class or with just a single child is why I am a teacher.
MISSION STATEMENT
I have a growing passion for the communities within my home country- Malawi. I understand that as human beings, we are not isolated entities but part of a vast and interconnected world. Each one of us has the power to bring a ray of sunshine to those around us, regardless of the scale or degree of our actions and contributions. I believe that everyone can choose to be a little philanthropist and make a positive impact in their community.
I am a proud mother of three beautiful children and a wife to an adoring husband. We are currently residing in the enchanting city of Abu Dhabi, UAE. My family is the cornerstone of my existence, and I treasure the moments we share together. Whether it's engaging in lively conversations, embarking on spontaneous adventures, or simply enjoying a peaceful day at home, every second spent with my loved ones is precious.
